The RSR Converter

Conversion options

As Advanced Library only displays PNGs, you'll have to convert RSRs to PNGs for those products that do not provide PNGs. Here are some of the options:

• use Poser (open the folder via the library interface and the RSRs will be converted...)
• use SenoSoft's P3dO Explorer
• use any other converter you know
• use the limited "built in" conversion function

Limitations of the built in solution

If you're interested in this option, you have to

• be aware that the conversion tool doesn't do transparencies currently
• because of the above reason, the PNGs are written as .alpng - so they can easily be deleted when a better version of the tool/PNG file is available
• install Quicktime
• download and install the converter

RSRs will then be converted on the fly into PNGs. The Images might still not show up directly after the conversion, but should the second time you do so - if they don't show up for some images or look pixelated then remember that the tool is in alpha stage ;-).

Installation

Download this tool and extract it to the folder that is shown in the about dialog of Advanced Library ("PICT Converter location"). You can directly open the folder by clicking on the button below the path.
